Teton Canyon is on the west slopes of the Teton Range and within Caribou-Targhee National Forest. It is a scenic and glacial shaped canyon, and is undoubtedly one of the best spots to start a trip on the western side of the Tetons. The towering Teton Range and Jedediah Smith Wilderness are adjacent to the canyon. Excellent hiking, backpacking and horseback riding opportunities abound, with trails leaving from the campground. A horse staging area is located at the trailhead parking area.

Elevation: 6,572 ft.
