The Rock Creek Trail is a moderately strenuous walk of 2.4 miles (3.8 km), two hours one-way, from the Denali Visitor Center via the Tiaga Trail to Park Headquarters and the Sled Dog Kennels, with 400 feet of elevation change, up to 15 percent grade, on a 30-inch compacted gravel surface. Highlights include stands of birch and spruce trees, ridge views with increased quiet and solitude away from the road.
