Elevation: 9,390 ft.

Observation Peak is a fairly short mountain in the Washburn Range located just north of the Solfatara Plateau and , northwest of the area. At one time there was an active fire observation tower on the summit, thus giving the peak its name. Though it is no longer used as a fire lookout, the tower building itself remains and is used as a backcountry patrol cabin now. There is a fairly popular trail that leads to the peak's summit.
