The Ninilchik River is a 21-mile-long (34 km) river on the Kenai Peninsula of the U.S. state of Alaska. It flows generally southwest, entering Cook Inlet at Ninilchik. A small boat harbor is dredged out of the river mouth near the town. In summer the river is a popular fishing location, especially for King Salmon; the harbor is mainly used by fishing boats.
