Founded in 1860 and abadoned by 1890 all the remains is the Gallatin City Hotel. Its located in the Missouri Headwaters State Park. Built by Jarvis Akin the hotel was a orginally a one room building but it was the center of Gallatin Cities social life. Once the town started to die off the hotel was converted to a barn.
