To reach Fiftymile Bench, drive forty-five miles south on Hole-in-the-Rock Road and take a right at a well-marked junction. The road leading up to Fiftymile Bench is very steep and consists of big ruts and rocks. A jeep or four-wheeler can drive up this road, or it makes a good hiking route. The road offers good views of Boulder Mountain, the Escalante Basin, and the Straight Cliffs.
