Litchfield is a historic New England town that is located in the scenic Northwest Hills of Connecticut. It was the former county seat of Litchfield County and was considered to be a prosperous town during the Revolution. It is also home to the country’s first Law School which was established by Litchfield Lawyer, Tapping Reeve who systematized his Law Lectures for young students and developed a series of formal, regular lectures that insured that all the students had access to the same body of knowledge.
