The church was built in the 12th century, and reformed and extended in the 15th century when different Gothic-style elements were added. The portico and the chapter room still remain from the original Romanesque church. In the interior of the church there is an altarpiece dating from the 18th century, and statues of Saint James the Pilgrim.
