Templar enclave.

This Templar church stands on a small hill at the entrance to Aracena.

This former Templar church dates from the 13th century and is in the Gothic style. It is situated on a low ridge next to Aracena castle. It is the oldest parish in the municipality. It can be classified as a fortress-church. The hill on which the building was build is of limestone and underneath it is the Gruta de las Maravillas.
