El Cristo de los Dolores. This monument was crafted by Friar Diego José de Cádiz, from the Capuchin-Franciscan Order. It was originally called Cristo de los Desagravios y Misericordia. It is situated in one of the most beautiful squares in Córdoba. It is a stone cross with Christ crucified, the monument is enclosed by a small railing with streetlamps, which explains why the popular feeling has changed the name and it is now known as the Cristo de los Faroles (the Christ of the Streetlamps). It was the work of Juan Navarro León, in the year 1794.
