Tour Guide
In Calle de Alcala you will find this impressive building, designed by architect Antonio Palacios and a good example of Madrid’s cultural life. Building work was started in 1921 and it was opened in 1926. It has a rectangular floor plan and a pyramid-shaped facade. The decoration is particularly worthy of note with sculptures such as the goddess Minerva, reliefs and paintings. The 48-metre high building has a stunning interior with exhibition rooms, a library, beautiful lounge/dining room, as well as a dance hall and the Sala de Columnas room.
