Lantern Bar is one of the most sought after spot in Singapore. It is a rooftop bar and is the special feature of the Fullerton Bay Hotel that gives a panoramic view of the Marina Bay Precinct and the illuminated Singapore skyline. The bar draws its name from the original “Red Lantern Pier” which was used to describe the Clifford Pier. It was the landing point for immigrants comprising mainly the ethnic Chinese who arrived in Singapore in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The bar is located on the waterfront end of the 25 meter rooftop pool and is exquisitely and intricately designed. The main circular bar comprises of lantern shaped structure and the main area is covered in canvas awnings. The whole area is lighted up by chandeliers and has fans to make a cooler impact. Faux rattan lounges, chairs and tables create an informal but a very beautiful ambience. The entire decked area has large candle-lit lanterns. The signature cocktails of the bar are themed on a Latin American or Caribbean style and the wines too are from Latin America and Spain. A live Cuban band enlivens the night with its Latin tunes.
