Eco-Lake

Eco-Lake is located within the Singapore Botanic Gardens in the vicinity of Bukit Timah Road. The lake is spread over a large area and is one of the major attractions of the garden. This lake is also home to a large avian population that includes both the local as well as migratory birds. There is a natural soft atmosphere around the lake and one can see schools of fish in its clear waters. There is also a large collection of water-hen, herons and migrant ducks in this lake. The most exquisite feature of this lake are the Black Swans which are natives to Australia but migrate to this lake during winters. They have been consistently visiting this place for many years and are considered to be a regular feature of this lake. Apart from this, the lake also is the home to many other birds like the colorful bee-eaters which are in plenty around this lake.
