Rgotsko Lake is situated 11 kilometers away from Zaječar, in the village of Rgotina. It extends over an area of 30 hectares and is 14 meters deep. The lake was created as a result of mining in the area for quartz. The lake has underground sources for its constant supply of water. As the lake bottom is very sandy, the water is crystal clear and thus, it makes for a popular swimmimng place for the nearby residents.
