From the time of founding building paid bank function untill 2003. After World War 2 it was a seat of Polish State Bank. Nowadays it is a seat of Nicolaus Copernicus University' Collegium Maximum. There is a 2,9 m high monument of Germanika - Fortune on the top of the building.
