Teatr Wielki (the Opera House) is the second largest opera house in Poland and one of the largest in Europe, with 1100 seats. It was opened in 1967. Up till now ca. 240 premieres have been presented therein. Theatre's repertoire consists a dozen or so operas, ballets, operettas - the kind of classical or contemporary classical music.
