The Ignacy Lukasiewicz Petroleum Industry Museum at Bobrka is the World's unique heritage park. The world’s oldest oil field was opened here in 1854. In this place we can find still existing hand-dug wells called Franek and Janina, also remains of the wells from 1854- 1880. In the area of the heritage park we can see 8 historic wooden buildings, a former location of: machine shops, forge, boiler rooms, stores etc. In one of the administration buildings there are shown: the mementoes of Ignacy Lukasiewicz, gallery of portraits, geological exhibits, the plan of the Bobrka oil plant from 1879, models, photographs and drawings illustrating the development of oil drilling and production technology. Important part of this exhibition is one of the country's largest kerosene lamps collections. The Museum archives preserve documents such as books, journals, maps, photo albums, share certificates, technical documents and drawings
