Our Lady’s Assumption and St. Adalbert’s Arch-Cathedral Basilica in Gniezno is located on the historical Lech’s Hill at Jelonek Lake. It is a monument of architecture, with great significance for Polish culture.

It hosts numerous works of art, such as for example the brazen Gniezno Doors, one of the most important historical work of Romanesque art in Europe. It is a Gothic church, with three naves and a presbytery, surrounded by a wreath of chapels. The former main entrance is located near the southern tower and today it hosts the brazen Gniezno Doors, one of the most important historical work of Romanesque art in Europe. The relics of pre-Romanesque temples erected in the 10th and 11th centuries are preserved in the underground parts of the cathedral. The cathedral in Gniezno was the coronation church of five kings of Poland and from 1418 until 1992, the archbishops of Gniezno held the title of the Polish Primate
