The museum is situated at the place of the former concentration camp. It was the first museum in Europe that gathered files concerning Nazi crmes. The museum was established in November 1944 at the area of the concentration camp. Some of the building (barracks, crematorium, gas chamber) survived till today. The museum carries out an educational activity, organizes exhibitions. According to the government order, children should be over 14 to be able to visit.
