Landscape Park Góry Opawskie

The landscape park "Góry Opawskie" is located in the north-west part of Opole Province, in the premises of 3 communes, at the border with Czech Republic. It ranges northern slopes of Góry Opawskie(Eastern Sudety) and their northern foreland. In morphology of the mountains there are distinguished 3 isolated massives: Góry Chrobrego - with its 3 culminations: - Forward one (467 m above sea level), - Middle one (543 m above sea level), - Rear one (527 m above sea level); Biskupia Kopa (889 m above sea level) and Srebrna Kopa (785 m above sea level); Długota (449 m above see level) and Kobylica (369 m above sea level); All of them are risen above the flat foreground with average height of 300m above sea level. There are also worth seeing morphological units: -a picturesque fracture of Biała Głuchołaska - length 2,5km -valley of Złoty Potok - 4-km long fracture in Jarnołtówek and Pokrzywna -a picturesque narrow valley of Bystry Potok (right inflow of Złoty Potok). Great richness of the Park constitutes the dense forest complex that embraces 75% of the total area. There are multi-species trees with the aged and storied complex structure. There are 14 species of trees such as: Spruce, Oak, Pine, Beech, Birch, Fir, Larch, Lime.
