The Guisi Lighthouse can be reached from motor taxi from Jordan in about 40 minuites. It is well worth the trip. The taxi will take you to a small hotel that serves a good home cooked meal and rents snorkeling equipment. It is possible also to rent a pump boat that can take you to the south end of the island. One can walk along the beach here to reach the lighthouse and then up a series of stairs to get a wonderful view of the island and the Panay Gulf which surrounds it.The Guisi Point Lighthouse,17.5 meters high, is located in Barangay Dolores, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. It was built in 1894 and is considered to be the 2nd oldest lighthouse in the Philippines.
