Thanks to a wonderful climate and a varied topography, Managua boasts of a great variety of flora that has been rewarded by abundant rains and plenty of water sources. Appearing as a lush and lavish city with many bushes, trees and palms, Managua featuring many casinos is a gambler’s delight. Founded in 1819 as a rural fishing village, Managua has now turned out to be the capital and the largest city in Nicaragua. With a predominant mestizo and white population, Managua is the second most populated city within Central America after Guatemala City.

Featuring a substantial amount of bars, nightclubs, theaters, cinemas and shopping options, Managua is relatively inexpensive, compared to western standards. Located along the southern shores of Lake Managua, this city embraces several lagoons which are now encompassed within city limits. One of the best positioned Nicaraguan cities situated along the Pan-American and the Southern Highways, Managua is the most ideal hub for local, national and international bus services.
