Patan Museum

The Patan Museum is situated in the palace building of the Patan Durbar Square. It has some of the special works in bronze which belong to the medieval period. The ancient ones come from the 11th century or the Lichhavi period. The collection mostly comprise of idols of Buddha and Lakeshore. There are some deities of Hindu gods. The Patan museum definitely displays the traditional art of Nepal. This museum is based in one of the royal palaces of earlier Malla kings. This museum was started in 1997 in Kathmandu. The Patan Museum Cafe has been started in the museum which offers traditional and foreign delicacies.
