Casablanca is Morocco’s major commercial town and boasts of having the largest port in Africa. Historical monuments, unique architecture and vibrant bazaars dotted across the city are some of its major tourist attractions. The Hassan II Mosque is one of the major places to see when visiting Casablanca. The beautiful mosque was built to celebrate the 60th birthday of former king. The grand mosque is one of the largest in the African continent. It can easily accommodate 25,000 worshippers in its inner hall and around 80,000 more outside.

The Hassan Tower is another important landmark and a major tourist attraction in Casablanca. The tower measuring 145 feet stands over the ruins of a mosque that was severely damaged by an earthquake.  The Mausoleum of Mohammed V located just opposite Hassan Tower is the final resting place of King Mohammed V and his two sons King Hassan II and Prince Moulay Abdellah.
