Located within the Sri Venkateshwara National Park, Talakona is famous for the temple of Sri Siddheswara Swamy and the picturesque water falls in the midst of thick forests. People from Chittor district and neighboring districts gather here on 1st January, Mahasivaratri festival days and weekends to pray to god and enjoy the water falls. Puranas says that those who do not have children come here and pray, and vow to name their children as Siddaiah or Siddamma. The Talakona Water Falls are located at a distance of 4 kilometers from this temple. Featuring a varied amount of exquisite flora and fauna within the surrounding areas, this 270-feet tall highest waterfall of Andhra Pradesh, is situated at a distance of 49 kilometers from Tirupati.
