Sri Aravindar Annai Trust

Madurai, popularly called as the "Temple city" situated on the banks of  river Vaigai, having rich cultural heritage, has many places of visit.  To enable the people to adhere to  psychological discipline  and to be aware of the true Self and the Divinity within, Sri Aravindar Annai Trust bloomed in the soil of Madurai at Thirunagar on the  24th April 1998 with the blessings of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo.

Objectives of SAAT :
   

•     To achieve a dynamic application of the teachings of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo to spiritual life.
•     To work towards the integral perfection of man both as an individual and as a collectivity.
•     To aspire for the realisation of Divine Life upon earth as envisioned by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.
•     To sensitise the people to adopt the ideologies of the Mother Divine and Sri Aurobindo through yoga and meditation.

According to Aurobindo “Relics is vibrant focus of a special spiritual force that has been brought down from the World of light to guide and lead its journey to the sun of truth”. If properly tended, the shrine grows in its radiation and remains ever new. Wherever the Relics are enshrined, there dwell immense peace and tranquility. Relics are the living Presence of Sri Aurobindo, imbued with the light and force of his lifelong sadhana, just as an atom contains an infinite power in itself -- this is the truth behind the Relics.
