Reasi is a town and a notified area committee, tehsil and now a district in the Indian administered state of Jammu
. It is situated at the bank of River Chenab. Reasi derived its name from its old name "RASYAL".In the eighth century Reasi was called Bhimgarh state,established by Bhim Dev.It has an average elevation of 466 metres (1,529 feet).
