Parvati temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva This structure is one of the monument among Khajuraho Group of Monuments, a World Heritage Site in India. All that is left of the original temple is an undecorated tower crowned by an amalaka: a fluted, melon-shaped structure. Inside the temple is an image of Parvati manifested as Gauri. Visually, this is not an interesting shrine. Nearby is a white temple built by a local maharaja about a century ago. Its architecture is a strange melange of idioms, completely alien to the graceful Khajuraho style.
