This is a living Siva temple built between 900 to 925 AD. Installed in it is a polished stone lingam, 2.5 metres high and a metre in diameter. It is very popular with devotees and their colourful flow, up and down the steps of the temple, the sound of conches and bells, and the fragrance of incense conjures up visions of what the monumental temples of Khajuraho must have been like when they were living places of worship.
