Kharsati Park

Karsati Nature Park (KNP) is a natural locale about 40 Kms from Shillong and 5 Kms from the National Highway. It was inaugurated on the 5th June 1998 as Kharsati Sanctuary for the preservation and conservation of the flora and fauna of the area, with the objective to have a better environment. The area, which covers approximately 570 acres of lush full forest land, has undulating hills with perennial streams running through it and abundant wildlife.
