Khalasuni Wildlife Sanctuary

The Khalasuni Wildlife Sanctuary is located 50 km from Sambhalpur town in the district's Rairakhol sub division. It is a moderately sized sanctuary that encompasses an area of 116 sq. km and is enveloped by the tropical dry and moist deciduous forests. The Sanctuary is home to several species of wildlife like the tigers, elephants, bison, deer, sambar, spotted deer, mouse deer, barking deer, wild dogs as well as numerous other species of wild animals.
