Gudivanka

Gudivanka is located at a distance of 16 kilometers from Kuppam Town on the borders of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The Subramanyam Swamy Temple (gudi) here is located on top of a hillock, and at the foot of the hillock flows, a small stream called Vanka. Hence this place has come to be known as Gudivanka. People in large numbers gather here during the Adikritika (Kavadi) Festival which falls in the month of August every year. At the back side of the temple, a reservoir belonging to Karnataka State is located. A religious and picnic spot as well, the Tirupati Tirumala Devastanam has constructed a guest house here so as to provide accommodation facilities to the visiting Tourists.
