The Gautam Buddha Wildlife Sanctuary ( GBWS) was constituted in 1976 and is located in the South-East part of Gaya District of Bihar State. It is one of the fauna and floral rich area of Bihar. The Sanctuary shows a rich biodiversity with a number of wild animals like Cheetal / Spotted Deer, Wild Dog, Blue Bull, Barking Deer, Common Krait, Pea Fowl etc. The Tiger is the special feature of the Sanctuary.
