The Gurudwara of Dera Baba Banda 25 kms from Katra, located on the banks of River Chenab, is named after Baba Banda Bairagi who was Guru Govind Singh"s favourite "Saint-soldier". The Gurudwara is famous for its rich wall paintings and the 48 feet high “Nishan Sahib” made of Deodar wood which was erected by the Baba himself.
