Boyakonda

A famous hill located in between Madanapalli - Punganur – Chowdepalli, Boyakonda came into prominence only in the recent years. Gaining significance only due to the location of the famous Gangamma Temple on top of the hill, Boyakonda attracts more than 20,000 devotees every day, mostly from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. People visit this place to pray to Gangamma for getting their grievances redressed. The devotees ask the Ammavaru for flower (Pushpam Aduguta), so as to know whether their vows would eventually be fulfilled or not. Considered as an incarnation of ‘Shakti’, this temple located at Chowdepalli is dedicated to Gangamma, the sister of Lord Venkateshwara.
