Reykjavik Art Museum - Asmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Museum

A permanent retrospective exhibition of works by Asmundur Sveinsson (1893-1982), one of the pioneers of sculpture in Iceland. The museum holds a collection of original sculptures by the artist, both indoors and outdoors. A sculpture garden surrounds the Museum, adorned by almost thirty of the artist´s sculptures.The Museum is housed in a unique domed building that was designed and built mostly by the artist himself.
