Dyrfjoll is a magnificent chain of mountains between Fljotsdalsheradand Borgarfjordur eystri. There are two marked hiking paths in this area: The longer one initiates at the top of pass Vatnsskard the other from the road up the Vatnsskard. The latter takes 2 hours at least. Allow for considerable time to enjoy one of East Iceland´s nature pearls; the Storurd.
