Description:
Research into the therapeutic benefits of the unique blend of climate, a steady temperature of +10°C and almost 100% humidity was initiated by Hubert Kessler in the eighties. The positive outcome of the studies paved the way for the use of the caves for therapeutic purposes and the Giant Corridor has been included as a section of Szent János Hospital since 1990. In addition to the features mentioned above, the aerosol and negative ion content of the dust- and allergen-free air in the cave plays a major role in the successful treatment of respiratory problems.
