Description: The synagogue was built in romantic-historic style between 1864-68, and it was designed by Frigyes Feszl (the designer of “Vigadó” in Budapest), Károly Gerster and Lipót Kauser. The building was not seriously damaged during World War II., only time has left its marks on it. Its exterior face has been exquisitely renovated by now since the start of the periodic restorations in 1980. The church organ, the first product of the Angster Organ Factory, made in 1867, has also been restored.
