Description: In 1834 from an apartment house instead of a meeting house Miklós Busch built a new church between 1852-1857. By Miksa Müller’s plans it was reformed between 1906 and 1908 onto its today form. The front garden insures suitable insight onto the building. The building is eclectic style with secessionist decoration. Above the entrance there is an increasing circular glass window dominating the facade, which a stone plate on the top of it. Above the coloured rosette there is a Hebrew language sentence means "My strength and my shelter is the eternity - I trust it”. The cupolas decorated with the David star rising on the two sides lend a specific individual character to the building. Balla József prepared the sculpture ornaments. Into the church interior we can step through a hall where the gallery runs around on all four sides. In 1974 in the narthex marble memorial plaques and a symbolical black tomb were placed for the recollection of the deported people. The former Jewish school's eclectic building stands on the Szeremle street side where in 2004. "The Hungarian tragedy 1944” constant exhibition was opened, raising a memorial for the victims of the Holocaust, for the 190 000 Jews children dragged away from the country.
