Description: The monumental building of the Parish church erected in reverence to St. Stephen the Martyr towers in the middle of the large Baroque square. The interior of the church radiates tranquillity and integration; the nave and the chancel form one enormous space divided into three sections by buttresses. The frescos of the ceiling were painted in 1782-1783 by Franz Anton Maulbertsch (1724-1796), the well-known Austrian master of Baroque painting. The altar-piece, the themes, the order and position of the frescos were laid down by Bishop Esterhazy, holding by his own ideas.

Confession (church):
roman catholic

Architectural style: Baroque
