The magic tower opened its gates in 2006, the initiative mostly came from instructors of the Physics Department of the college. Their goal was to bring the natural sciences closer to the everyday life of all people, not only students. Making the World of biology, chemistry or geography more comprehensible, translating them to everyday life is a very important pedagogical task. This task is honoured by the 'Magic Tower of the Natural Sciences', which offers exhibitions and spectacular experiments to its visitors.

The Magic Tower offers interesting sights mainly to primary and secondary school pupils: unusual classes are organised for them in the natural sciences, presenting interesting experiments to bring the seemingly alien world of chemistry or physics closer to them. The demonstrations include the presentation of the history of utilising solar energy from the ancient times until today, or astronomical ones like the workings of the solar system, or the illustration of different weather phenomena with simple experiments. In the field of geography, pupils can get answers to questions related to minerals, volcanoes in Hungary, or drifting continents. Apart from the two subjects mentioned above, similar interesting experiments also give visitors an insight into the world of chemistry. Students can see everyday phenomena like the chemical features of plastic materials or the phenomenon of combustion.
