Description: The István ("Stephen") Cellar and National Wine Museum is Hungary's only museum where wine from all 22 wine-producing districts is on display in natural surroundings, that is a unique network of cellars dug out of rhyolite tuff between 1789 and 1799. Visitors will see over 300 different wines, of drinking quality as well as museum pieces, plus old tools of the wine making trade and wine currently maturing. The cellar accommodates 150 people at a time, and visits, which naturally include tasting, are made even more enjoyable by virtuoso gypsy music and dance.
