Stratford is the location of the London Olympic Park and is currently experiencing regeneration and expansion linked to the 2012 Summer Olympics. As well as the Olympic Stadium, Stratford is also home to the Aquatics Centre, the Hockey Centre, the Velopark and the Basketball Arena.

You can get a close-up view of the developments in the Olympic Park by taking a tour, or visiting the Olympic Park Viewing Gallery at Holden Point, or the Viewtube. Westfield Stratford City is a striking, three-storey curved shopping centre. It houses more than 300 shops, a cinema, bowling alley and more than 60 restaurants. Of particular interest for avid shoppers are the large-scale John Lewis and Marks and Spencer.
