Meanguera

Meanguera is one of the most popular tourist destinations in El Salvador in the Gulf of Fonseca, offering something from everyone. This is small but quite an attractive volcanic island, where one can find all major tourist attractions right from pristine beaches to diving, snorkeling, and jungle expeditions. The Meanguera Island is also a breeding ground to many different species of endangered turtle, which include -the Olive Ridley, hawksbill, Leatherbacks and green turtles.
 
Tourists from across the country mainly visit this nature’s paradise between Septembers to December, as during this time all these species survive their first 3 months on the grounds till the time they are not ready to go into the sea.
