Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) is a top Chinese university located in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, People's Republic of China. Xi'an Jiaotong University is located in Xi'an, the ancient capital of China. It is a member of the C9 League. Xi'an Jiaotong University became independent from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1956.

As a branch of one of the oldest and famous universities in China, Xi'an Jiaotong University is one of the nine universities in the elite C9 League of Chinese premier universities (China's 'Ivy League'). Today, XJTU has an enrollment of around 32,000 students and offers 199 Master's and 114 PhD. programs in Science, Engineering, Medicine, Economics, Management, Arts, Language and Law.
