Torres del Paine Trek in Patagonia 7 Days

Visitors from around the world make the journey to see this small but spectacular group of mountains and glaciers located about 280 km north of Punta Arenas, and about 1,960 km south of the Chilean capital Santiago. The Towers of Paine and Glacier Grey draining the vast ice field of southern Patagonia are the highlights of the Trek. Stay overnight in Refugio Grey in the midst of the Patagonian Andes and cruise up close to see the glacier calving directly into the lake.

Day 1 - Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales: You will be met in the airport in Punta Aernas by your guide who will take you car to Puerto Natales. Enroute you will see the Pampas the dominant grasslands of Patagonia and will be taken to visit the penguins at Steno Otway. Arriving in Puerto Natales one of the southern most cities in Chile and now a launching point for Tourists to Torres del Paine National Park.

Day 2 - Puerto Natales to Refugio Chileno: After enjoying your breakfast a two hour drive takes you to Torres del Paine National Park where you will trek towards the three breathtaking granite towers of Torres del Paine. The windswept lake and landscape of Patagonia and the changing light with the rapidly passing clouds make a it a delightful walk. You will spend the night at the Refugio Chileno in the Ascencio Valley. (Included meals: breakfast, box lunch, dinner)

Day 3 - Refugio Chileno - Refugio Los Cuernos: Hike along Lake Nordenskjöld and enjoy views of grazing Guanaco and the hanging glaciers of the Paine Massif. The day ends at the Refugio Los Cuernos. (Included meals: breakfast, box lunch, dinner)

Day 4 - Refugio Los Cuernos - French Valley - Lake Pehoe: Trek to Valle Frances one of the picturesque settings in the park. Enjoy the high peaks, glacially carved canyons and hanging glaciers. Return in the afternoon to Pehoe Lake and Overnight at Paine Grande Lodge. (Included meals: breakfast, box lunch, dinner)

Day 5 - Hike to Glacier Grey: Trek to the base of Glacier Grey. Follow the eastern shoreline of the lake with impressive views of giant icebergs. From the glacier lookout you can see the giant glacier wall as it calves iceburgs into the lake. Return and overnight at Paine Grande Lodge (Included meals: breakfast, box lunch, dinner)

Day 6 - Paine Grande Lodge to Puerto Natales: In the morning cross Lake Pehoe by boat and drive from pudeto back to Puerto Natales. Relax and explore Puerto Natales. If we are earlier guests are invited on an optional tour to Milodon Cave the site where the remains of a large late Pleistocene plant eating mammal are found.

Day 7 - Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas: A transfer will take you to the airport of Punta Arenas or a downtown hotel as you prefer. (Included meals: breakfast)
