Católica del Norte University (UCN) is a university in Chile. It is part of the Chilean Traditional Universities. It is located in Antofagasta, Chile. Católica del Norte University was founded on May 31, 1956. The current rector is Misael Camus Ibacache. Católica del Norte University has 6 faculties, 17 departments, 6 schools, 3 institutes and 5 investigation centres in 4 campuses: the headquarters in Antofagasta, campus Guayacán in Coquimbo, Museum and investigation centre in San Pedro de Atacama and in Sierra Vicuña Mackenna, Taltal.
