Bayview Secondary School

Bayview Secondary School is a 9–12, 2-semester high school under the York Region District School Board. It is located just north of the northeast corner of Bayview Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive in the Town of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada.

Bayview SS is named after the street that it is located on. The 15-acre (61,000 m2) land that Bayview SS sits on is formerly a part of the Elliot farm.Bayview Secondary School is one of the top ranking secondary schools in Ontario. The school is currently ranked 10th in Ontario with a rating of 8.9 out of 10, making it the 3rd highest ranked school in the GTA behind St Michael’s Choir in Toronto and Pierre Elliott Trudeau in Markham.

In 2010 the Fraser Institute delivered Bayview Secondary School a score of 9.4/10 with a ranking of 3 out of 725 Ontario secondary schools. In Fraser Institute's annual report card of 2009, the school was ranked 10th in Ontario along with St. Robert Catholic High School. In 2008, the Fraser Institute gave Bayview SS a rating of 9.1 out of 10; and a ranking of 14 out of 725 Ontario secondary schools.

Bayview Secondary School has a York Region Transit bus stop directly in front of the school that takes students south, to Finch (TTC) in Toronto in approximately 30 minutes. There is also a bus stop within the school's plaza that takes students west to Vaughan Mills in roughly 40 minutes.
