Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary

The Phnom Tamao Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It is spread over the south of Phnom Penh. The sanctuary protects and houses animals from traffickers and poachers. The International wildlife NGO’s have an important role in improving the condition of this park. It is being developed to be one of the best animal sanctuaries of Cambodia.

Since it is spread over a large area, it gives the feeling of a zoo and a safari park. The huge tiger and elephant enclosures are tourist attractions. Rare birds, deers and macaques can be seen from the walk-through area in the sanctuary. This sanctuary is known to house a large collection of pileated gibbons and Malaya sun bear. Siamese crocodiles and storks are some of the rarely found animals here. This sanctuary houses incredible and rare animals of Cambodia.
